My Experience

I’m a highly experienced technical writer with an extensive background in software development, and I’ve successfully worked remotely with clients in Israel, the US, South Africa, and Bahrain.

Alex Ragen

My years of experience in writing software and writing about software uniquely qualify me for performing the required tasks for your project: interviewing developers to obtain information and then explaining complicated subjects to users (both technical and non-technical) in a way they will understand.

I’ve written software in many languages and many environments (C, Unix, JavaScript, Windows, etc). I‘ve written User Guides, Admin Guides, API Guides, Release Notes and White Papers for some of the world’s leading companies in the cyber security sector: Check Point, Imperva, Preempt (now CrowdStrike), ForeScout, Discretix, General Electric, Safend, Sofaware, Promisec, Cyber Security Group (CSG), as well as for companies in other sectors: OxBlue, EdgyBees and others.

I have also created written tutorials and short instructional videos teaching users how to use the software. I believe that showing users how to perform a task is better than telling them how to do it. You can see an example of a video I created here.
